Luise Fong
YEAR OF RESIDENCY
December - February 2000

Fong’s distinct postmodern practice is driven by intuition. Her moving, abstract paintings allude to a microscopic world, characterised by an aesthetic formalism. The works conceived over the course of her residency spoke strongly of the trees; their trunks, patterns and textures; their moods, mysteries and merging perspectives.
