The Tomorrow Group supports ambitious projects that have been carefully created to expand and extend an artists' practice.

The Naoshima Artist in Residency and the McCahon x Bundanon Artist Exchange opportunities are two initial projects that will promote and celebrate our artists both in Aotearoa and abroad.

The Naoshima residency comes with a guaranteed inclusion for an artist in the 2025 Setouchi Triennale – a breathtaking opportunity for Aotearoa to shine on the world stage.

Without international residencies, exhibition opportunities, artist exchange programmes and cultural legacy projects, the practice of our artists cannot be fully extended.

Learn more about the Naoshima Residency here and the Bundanon Exchange here.

"I am humbled and honoured to receive this incredible opportunity to participate in the Benesse Art Site Naoshima Residency. I'm looking forward to furthering my practice, which is grounded in my Māori heritage, in the land of the rising sun...I'm ready to make meaningful connections through art."
- Sarah Hudson, Naoshima residency recipient 2024
