The McCahon House Gate programme helps build the careers of New Zealand artists. Our programme —The Gate Project — provides supporters with unique insights and experiences into the creative process of artists and art making.

We work with artists who have a proven track record. In addition to offering a three–month residency with a purpose built studio and stipend, we also offer artists professional development opportunities such as meeting art collectors, new project collaborations, and stronger professional networks, including opportunities for public speaking and exhibitions. We invite you to join the Gate Project and strengthen opportunities for New Zealand’s artists and our culture.

The Trust is a registered Charitable Trust (CC10637) and your subscription is tax deductible.

The Gate Project is our donor programme which allows you to support our artists in residence.
